EGR Warranty Policy for Australian Aftermarket Accessories

EGR warrants that the goods supplied are of merchantable quality and free of defects. The goods are warranted against failure from date of fitment to the vehicle for a period of 12 months so long as the products have been fitted to the vehicle in accordance with EGR’s fitting instructions.

Claims for damage prior to fitment.

EGR’s customer will examine the goods for defects and shall notify EGR of any defects in writing within 7 days of delivery.  If EGR’s customer does not notify EGR within 7 days of delivery, that customer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods as being of merchantable quality and free from defects.

Claims made post fitment.

EGR’s customer must contact EGR prior to attempting any repair of a part that is to be claimed for warranty.  No claim will be accepted until viewed and authorized by an EGR representative inclusive of labour repair and subsequent damages.

The sole remedy of EGR’s customer or their customer for a breach of the warranty shall, at EGR’s option, be any one of the following:

  1. a) The replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods;
  2. b) The repair of the goods or payment of the cost of having the goods repaired; or
  3. c) The refund of the price paid to EGR by EGR’s customer for the Goods
  4. d) Any subsequent damage to the vehicle caused by failure of the product, payment of the cost of repair time

In the case of repair, EGR will request a written quote be submitted in order to authorize the repair to go ahead. EGR will then authorize the repair to go ahead in writing on the condition that EGR is unable to warrant the work of a 3rd party repairer. EGR cannot guarantee that the full cost of repair work will be paid by EGR if the work is undertaken by EGR’s customer prior to EGR furnishing written authorization to proceed.

In the case of replacement, EGR will request the original part be made available for return to EGR. In this case, whilst EGR is responsible for the return freight, EGR’s customer is responsible for the safe re-packaging of the part to ensure it is not further damaged in return transit.

EGR Warranty Procedure

All warranty claims to be lodged with EGR via the purchasing outlet / business on the owner’s/end user’s behalf.  The user essentially takes the item back to their place of purchase to claim.

Purchase information and details from the purchasing outlet will be requested and are essential to move the claim forward.

Item serial numbers for Canopies will be required before any claims move forward.  These details are printed on silver labels in the rear corner of the Canopy shell.

Photographs may be requested by the Warranty Department.
